What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Secretary / Office Manager

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Perform secretarial and clerical work for the organization's managers and staff.

  • Maintain the manager's calendar.

  • Coordinate and schedule all meetings.

  • Handle telephone communications and receive visitors; ascertain the nature of calls or visits; take messages or schedule appointments; respond to routine questions or refer individuals to appropriate sources of information; and serve as an information resource to the manager and staff.

  • Prepare a variety of documents, including correspondence, reports, graphs, charts, etc. Originates routine correspondence, edits, and formats documents, and assists in processing paperwork in accordance with office policies and procedures.

  • Set up file systems for all documents and maintains all programmatic and administrative records and files.

  • Follow all procedures for the filing and maintenance of classified or sensitive documents and records.

  • Enters and maintains data and responds to requests for information.

  • Orders office supplies.

  • Inventory property and equipment.

  • Data entry including keying payrolls and time cards.

  • Assisting in filing timely reports.

  • Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite full-time.

Qualifications We Require:

  • To be qualified, the applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following requirements:

  • Two (2) years of recent secretarial-related experience, or

  • An Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Office Administration, Office Technology, Secretarial Sciences, or related field and six (6) months secretarial-related experience.

  • The requirements listed below are in addition to the 2 years of directly related experience listed in “What Your Job Will Be Like”:

  • Experience with providing support to one or more managers

  • Experience with complex calendaring as well as meeting scheduling logistics

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong office management and organizational skills

  • Strong team orientation and customer focus

  • Attention to details

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Outlook.

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Ability to support projects and events by managing deadlines and communications

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

Posting Duration:

  • This posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, including the ‘posting date’. Luna Tax and Accounting reserves the right to extend the posting date at any time.

Pay and Work Day Information​

  • Wages will range from $14 to $15 per hour depending on experience.

  • If hired the work week is Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-5:00 pm with an hour lunch break from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm on Friday 8:00 am-12:00 pm. 36-hour work weeks.

  • After 3 months consecutively worked employee will qualify for Paid time off.

  • Employees accrue one hour of earned sick leave for every thirty hours worked, starting their first day of work per state law mandates.
